OUR STORY
In the gospels, Jesus tells a story of a farmer who goes out to scatter his seeds. Some fall along a hard path where the birds immediately eat it up. Some fall on rocky areas where the soil is shallow. It springs quickly but soon withers because the roots are shallow. Other seeds fall among thorns that choke the life out. But other seeds fall on Good Soil, and produce a crop multiplying up to a hundred fold! (Mark 4, Matt 13)
The mission of Good Soil Vermicompost is to replicate the kind of Good Soil that Jesus was talking about. To have an all natural, straight from the earth, healthy, rich, nutrient packed soil that grows plants to their fullest potential. If we look at God’s creation, the seasonal cycle of plants has them dropping their leaves in the fall. Over time this base layer of leaves begins to decompose. Worms are naturally introduced and aid significantly to the decomposition. The worms feed on the compost, the digestive tract concentrates and supercharges it, and the result is the absolute best all natural fertilizer and plant food. The worm castings and compost in turn provide all of the nutrients the plants need, conveniently and seasonally dropped atop their roots. This is the design of the Creator and the inspiration for Good Soil Vermicompost.
